puree pear

Apparently, second time mums delay things like solids, because they know how much more work is involved. As a first time mum I am blissfully unaware of such things, and think it is going to be a magical period of seamless eating enjoyment. I'll keep you posted.

Pureed Pear (or substitute for Apple)

1/ Peel and core 1 pear. Roughly chop.

2/ Place in a saucepan with 1/4 cup of water, bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for approx. 10 minutes (until soft).

3/ Puree with a stick blender. Pour mixture into baby solid freezer trays and put them in the freezer.

I used 4 pears and 1 cup of water and it filled 2.5 trays.

Now, the ultimate test, where is my baby...

Oh, Harry likes to eat a frozen ice cube of pear out of this fruit feeder. It's fab.
